HOW SUNLESS WORKS: DHA solutions have experienced tremendouse growth in the past few years. Typically, there are three types of Bronzers that are used in Sunless Spray Solution.
1) Cosmetic Bronzers
A cosmetic bronzer is visible immediately after being sprayed. PLEASE NOTE; This is just the color guide and will wash off while showering. A DHA bronzer initally has no visible effect. It will begin to react with the skin in two to four hours and develope color. Erythrulose is a slow-reacting bronzer and is similar to DHA.
DHA - Dihydroxyacetone
The tanning industry recognizes dihydroxyacetone as the colorless sugar that makes the magic happen in the sunless tanning process. DHA reacts with skin proteins, including amino acids, in the outermost-layer of skin. The reaction develops brown skin coloring that looks similar to a beautiful natural tan.
DHA is not absorbed into the body and it is non-toxic. It was first approved for cosmetic use in 1973 by the FDA.
